To be able to use ZFS on my planed TrueNAS VM i first had to pass through the six drives i would be using in my pool (I chose to do 6 drives per vdev with RAIDZ2). Luckily i had already flashed the drive controller so all i had to do was a few bios settings and then the actual passthrough this all went without issue and a special thanks to TechHut for his very useful guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkK-9_-2oko&t=310s).
